Founders
The emotional upheaval that one is put through when a loved one is diagnosed with a serious illness is not alien to me . A diagnosis that impacts not just the person but the entire family ….I have been there too, watching my family navigate through the painful journey of cancer treatment . Often not knowing what’s next followed by how best to deal with what’s next !!!
But through it all I have learnt that pain, both physical and emotional, both the patient's and their family's can be assuaged if you avail the very crucial healthcare service that is called palliative care. A comforting specialised service for the complex ,difficult ,path ahead
With this in mind , and grateful for its benefits , my dear friend Pinky Debara and I established Cassia care to bring the comfort , peace and knowledge of palliative care to others life when caring for their loved ones .

My journey of resilience and compassion spans over two decades in the hospitality industry, followed by a leadership role in training within the US healthcare sector. An early retirement planned at 45 seemed promising until personal adversities ignited my entrepreneurial spirit. The profound impact of inadequate care and support during critical times, experienced through the loss of family members in ICU isolation, became a catalyst for change.
Combining my understanding of customer service with knowledge of healthcare systems I joined forces with we like-minded professional and friend Dr Zainab Samina Mohamed who shared a common vision of human-centred care.
By offering personalised support, advanced medical technologies, and holistic well-being, we strive to enhance the quality of life for patients and provide comfort to their families. Cassia Care exemplifies the transformative power of personal experience and empathy-driven innovation, challenging conventional norms to become a beacon of hope for those navigating end-of-life care.

Inspiration behind the name
Our name comes from the herb of healing, cassia auriculata.

It holds medicinal properties in all its parts from the root to the seed to the stem and the leaves and flowers. This healing quality of the herb is what inspires our name.
